BIOGRAPHIE
André NTAGWABIRA is a Rwandan born on January 1st, 1980, in Nyamasheke District, western Rwanda. He now lives in Huye District located in the Southern Province of the country. He is married and has a master’s degree in Archaeology obtained in 2012 from the University of Bergen in Norway. He has also a bachelor’s degree in history obtained in 2007 from the University of Rwanda. André has an extensive background in research and teaching. He works as an Archaeology Researcher at Rwanda Cultural Heritage Academy since its inception. This institution was created in 2020 by merging the National Archives and Library Services Authority, the Academy of Language and Culture, and the Institute of National Museums of Rwanda for which he worked for 12 years since 2006. Apart from his research work, André also has teaching experience. He is a visiting lecturer at the University of Rwanda, in the Department of Heritage Studies, since 2013.
