BIOGRAPHIE

Dr. Oris Malijani is a Cultural Heritage Specialist based in Malawi with several years of experience both in public and private sector in the development, conservation and management of African cultural and natural heritage. His practice specializes in cultural heritage research, management and conservation of cultural heritage, with a strong bias in African Cultural Landscapes, African Archaeology, protected areas management, and community engagement and involvement. He has worked with government cultural and natural heritage institutions, private firms, academia and non-governmental institutions on promotion, planning and development of African cultural and natural heritage. He holds a PhD in Heritage Studies from Brandenburg University of Technology, (BTU) Germany and a Master’s Degree in Heritage Management form University of Kent, UK.
