BIOGRAPHIE
Montassar Jmour completed his university studies in Architecture and Urbanism from the National School of Architecture and Urbanism (ENAU) in 2011 and obtained his research master's degree in Archaeology and Heritage in 2016. He began his career professional with the National Institute of Heritage as Senior Architect specialized in heritage in 2012. He held the position of Chief Architect of Heritage in 2017 thanks to the execution of several projects of restitution, restoration and enhancement historical monuments spread over the entire Tunisian territory. He has been appointed Director of Conservation of the Medina of Tunis where he was the World Heritage Site Manager of the Medina of Tunis, throughout this period he is responsible for the management and safeguarding of the properties, of all rehabilitation and restoration projects in the governorate of Tunis. In 2021, he was appointed the focal point of the Observatory of Architectural and Urban Heritage in Arab Countries at the Organization (ALECSO) and he played the role of facilitator of the North Africa region in the initiative of UNESCO for the creation of the African World Heritage Site Managers Network (ASMN).
