BIOGRAPHIE

I am shaimaa osama. I graduated from faculty of Art department of Archeology and Civilization in 2007. I got master’s degree in Islamic art and architecture from Helwan University in 2014. I have been working as an inspector of archeology at world heritage site of Historic Cairo (Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities) since 2010.At first, I worked in a technical office of the Secretary General of Supreme Council of Antiquities office after that in the Minister of Antiquities office preparing research and check the progress of work in archeological sites, but that wasn’t enough for me because I was excited to the field work to get a practical experience. So, I decided moving to work at Historic Cairo because it’s my academic specialty (Islamic and Coptic civilization and monuments). I worked on several projects in Historic Cairo such conservation projects for monuments, preparing archeological and historic studies before conservation, preparing studies of adaptive reuse for the historic buildings. I have been joined several trainings related to the field of world heritage sites management in addition to world heritage convention and its operational guidelines.
