Mr. Patmore Ngorima is a dedicated ecologist with a strong commitment to the protection and sustainable management of wildlife in Zimbabwe. In his current designation as the Principal Ecologist at the Zimbabwe Parks and Wildlife Management Authority, he brings a wealth of experience and expertise to his leadership position. Throughout his career he has been actively involved in various important initiatives, including participating in the Zimbabwe CAMPFIRE review project. In addition, Mr. Ngorima has conducted on-site field surveys to evaluate wildlife density and distribution, providing crucial data for informed decision-making. His dedication extends beyond data collection, as he actively contributes to State of Conservation reports and periodic reporting, ensuring a comprehensive approach to heritage and protected areas conservation. Furthermore, his leadership role as the focal person for SMART implementation exemplifies his commitment to implementing data-driven management strategies. Mr. Ngorima's academic background underscores his expertise in the field of conservation biology. His educational journey includes a Master of Science in Resource Conservation Biology, a Certificate in Programme and Project Monitoring and Evaluation, and a First-Class Bachelor of Environmental Science in Natural Resources Management. Notably, Mr. Ngorima has contributed significantly through the publication of several research papers in wildlife, environmental management, and conservation. His work stands as a testament to the profound impact of scientific research in driving meaningful conservation outcomes. His steadfast commitment to safeguarding Zimbabwe's wildlife and ecosystems not only serves as a commendable example but also paves the way for a more sustainable future.
