BIOGRAPHIE
My name is Jean Pierre Jobogo, born in Katana on 28 June 1969, I am married and father of four, and I am a career park manager in charge of Garamba National Park / Democratic Republic of Congo. Holder of a Master degree in Science, World Heritage Management at University College Dublin (Ireland); prior my graduation the management of natural resources.in South Africa. With a long experience in conservation, I have worked in Virunga NP for more than 10 years managing ecosystems in resources inventory, wetland, forest, corridors management and transboundary landscape to address ecosystem services to the communities and park’s stakeholders. Having a strong leadership, I supervise our staff in the field, orient them in protected areas management including: administration and community approaches such as: environmental education, conflicts resolution and mediation, and good communication as a team player. I speak Swahili, Lingala and write both English, French with excellence that facilitate also my social integration to multi-cultural groups. I am familiar with managing risks and have been working for long time in challenging regions with political crisis, In short, I am putting all strategies I can and work hard with the goal of removing Garamba National Park from the list of the World Heritage in Danger.
